Answered: Extensions and entanglement

Will a solid piece of metal extension, like a linear slider, be allowed to be used with the purpose of helping a robot push another robot away from a goal stash? Which one of these examples will be considered legal?

A c-channel or a linear slide as a blunt, small extension that can get between (not inside) the field wall and the drivetrain of a robot that is surrounding/defending a stash

or

A short piece of c-channel or a linear slide that can be used to gain leverage against other parts of the robot, such as its tower mechanism

Edit:
Both of these mechanisms will be short in length (less than 2 inches) and therefore, in my opinion, should pose no risk of entanglement, nor are they designed to cause damage to opposing robots.

Based on the descriptions above, these devices would both be legal.
