Answered: Four Motors to One Transmitter Channel

Hey guys I apologize beforehand if this is something that has already been asked on here of if it is something I should already know. For a particular robot of mine, I want to link four motors to a single function on the transmitter. For example, when I push the right-hand joystick up, all four would turn in unison a particular direction. When I push the right-hand joystick down, all four will turn in unison the opposite direction. Is this possible? (I’m sure it is), and if so how would I go about doing it? I do own the programming kit, which I’m fairly sure is necessary for this task.

Thanks,
Carl Lawhon

This is explained in Appendix E of the Inventor’s Guide located on our Support page. This Appendix shows all the default configurations of mapping the Transmitter Channels to the Motor Port Outputs. See page E-6, it shows 4 Motor Outputs controlled from 1 Channel of the Transmitter.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
