First of all I debated with myself whether to post this in this section or just in the normal help section, but decided I’d ask it here, and hope this would be the best place for it. Now onto my question:
So I was coloring and constraining and just getting everything perfect on my saved version of the Gateway field in CAD, which I found here. I noticed however that the field appeared to be set up wrong. The gray foam tiles were place such that they were below the lips on the bottoms of the corner wall assemblies. I checked back to the Wiki and saw that this picture I found there was also set up this way.
So I’m just confirming that the fields are set up wrong in CAD, and that at competitions the gray foam tiles are indeed supposed to be place such that they overlap the lips on the bottoms of the corner wall assemblies. Also I ask why the CAD models were set up in this incorrect way – was there a specific reason? Or did this happen by mistake?
Sorry for bumping this, but I’m just making sure I didn’t post this in the wrong spot or something. I would really need an answer from someone who had to do with the creating of the Gateway CAD file, I guess…
Yes, there is an error in the CAD assembly, the foam tiles are supposed to be placed over top of the lips. This will be fixed in the future. Thanks for pointing it out to us.
