I wasn’t the one who noticed this, but it was pointed out here that if a robot is resting on the bump and touching its hanging bar it counts as low hanging.
This question is just to check that this is indeed how matches should be scored:
If a robot is resting on the bump and touching the hanging bar of its alliance, and is not touching any foam tiles, should it be considered low hanging?
And a related question:
If a robot is resting on the field perimeter (but not grasping or grappling it as covered by <SG9>) and touching the hanging bar of its alliance, and is not touching any foam tiles, should it be considered low hanging? Does the answer change depending on whether the robot is partially outside or completely within the outer edge of the field perimeter?
The definition of Low Hanging was updated on May 31, I’ve quoted the updated definition below, with the new text in bold.
This, the Robot you described would not be considered Low Hanging.
The Robot would be considered Low Hanging. However, any robot that intentionally breaks the plane of the Field Perimeter would undergo extra scrutiny in regards to <S1>.
