Answered: High Elevation Clarification

Hi Karthick
The definition of High Elevated in the Game Manual states:

The definition states that the robot must be completely above the plane of the field perimeter, which has been assumed to be 12 inches. Recently when measuring our field perimeter I found that the top of it was only 11 1/8 in above the foam playing tiles. At two separate events this season, opposite rulings were made regarding this issue (one was match effecting and possibly even tournament affecting). Could you please clarify as to whether high elevation is above the field perimeter or above 12 inches to prevent further confusion.

As stated in clause 4 of the definition quoted above, for a Robot to be High Elevated it must be completely above the top of the field perimeter.
