Answered: Hot Glue on Motors

Hi, I’m not sure if this has been asked in the past, but can we use hot glue to reinforce the motor wires?

The rules say in <R7.h>:

We want to use the glue to support the wires at the point where they enter the motor, since the rubber piece there often breaks and the wire tends to fray. The wire also sometimes disconnects from inside the motor, causing the motors to not function properly. We were unsure of if the rule allowed use to hot glue for this purpose or not. If so, it would be greatly beneficial so we don’t have to keep replacign the motors when the wires fray.

No, this is not legal.
