Answered: How is screw length defined?

I know that any commercially available #8-32 screw up to 2 inches long is considered legal, but what measurement does Vex consider to be the length? Question: Is the screw length only that portion of the screw beneath the screw head or is the screw length the overall length?

Background: I know commercially available “2 inch screws” often have an overall length that exceeds 2 inches. For example, I have provided a link to a screw that is advertised to be 2" long but the head of the screw would make the overall length 2.164" Would a screw like this still be legal? Thanks.

Yes, this would be legal. The reference to a length of 2" in R7c is intended as a nominal dimension. (this is also how official VEX EDR screws are measured)
