I would like to know if the students may bend the lever in such a way that another object (such as a piece of bar or plastic) could touch the actual switch part, so that perhaps more than just the in-built lever could actually trigger the switch.

I think everyone knows that the in-built levers are fragile and prone to snapping off during game play.
