The intent of this rule is not to allow teams to manipulate their Robot in such a way that they are controlling the Robot via human contact or creating motions that lead to scoring.

My team member wants to, during autonomous, preload objects onto the top sloped area of his robot. After he releases the objects, they roll from an unstable position and into a goal. He is not forcing them to roll, only placing them and allowing them to roll.

Is this legal? Under what circumstances would this be legal or illegal? (Where is the line drawn?)

If you release a Scoring Object and it rolls directly into a Goal off a Robot, this would be illegal. If you release a Scoring Object, it rolls down a Robot but then hits a stop, and then the stop is released by the Robot, causing the Scoring Object to roll into the Goal, this would be legal.

The intent of this rule is to allow Humans to introduce Scoring Objects into play. The intent of this rule is not to allow Humans to actually score the Scoring Objects.
