Answered: Labels on tape

There are other reasons why a team would like to use tape other than labeling motors or joining wires. E.g. We would like to label tape to mark positions on a potentiometer when it is used as a positional switch for multiple autonomous routines. The new rule would prohibit this.

I would like to suggest that the new rule be changed to - " small sections of tape may be used for joining pwm wires or for functional labeling"

I don’t think this would open a can of worms, and it would assist teams.

Please consider this rule change.

Yes, this would be legal.
