Can the 1st seed team after all the qualifying rounds in a league choose to “opt out” or not to participate in the elimination rounds (since they qualified for world championship by the criteria already)?

Yes, any team can opt out a tournament at any point. However, we adamantly discourage teams from opting out after alliance selection has occurred.
Our team is thinking to opt out if we get the 1st seed ranking so it’s not possible for us to take up another world qualifying spot. It’s not guaranteed that we will win the elimination rounds but being the 1st seed has its advantages.
