Answered: LEDs through Arduino

I understand teams using LEDs must be cautious when powering per

I currently use an Arduino to make calculations for my LEDs - I use RGB LED lights. This Arduino is powered through the microcontroller and there are no extra power sources. At the Ga State competition I was at I was not allowed to use my lights, because it was a non-vex computer. However I have not found a (VRC) rule that disallows separate computers provided that they are powered through the microcontroller and is purely decorative, and provides no functions (no status lights, voltage lights etc.).

Can you verify this ruling?

I can verify this ruling. You cannot use an Arduino on a VRC Robot.
