Answered: Low Goal Scoring Requirements

Two relevant definitions to my question (emphasis mine):

  1. A Scoring Object is partially within the three-dimensional space defined by the outer edges of a High Goal, i.e. in the High Goal

Low Goal – One of the two (2) trapezoidal **areas of foam field tiles defined by the front of the High Goal and the tape line under the pipe, where teams can Score Balls and Bonus Balls.
**

Does this mean that in order for a ball to count as scored in a low goal it must be touching the floor tile inside the goal?

Another way of putting it, if the low goal is full of balls so that some balls are on top of other balls, will the balls that are on top of other balls count as scored?

Thanks.

Yes, this is what is stated in the definitions (thank you for quoting them!) and is correct.

No, they would not count, as they do not meet the definition of Scored.

Thanks Karthik! I probably should have known the answer, but there was some doubt in another thread. This makes it crystal clear.

You’re welcome! We’re happy to provide clarifications!
