Answered: making your own stand-offs

our team would like to use alot of stand offs and would like to make our own to save a few bucks,

i plan on buyinh 1/4" hex bar in alumminium and cutting, faceing, drilling and tapping them to be identical to vex parts, would this be legal for competition use? and also, the lengths would be less then that of 6" which is the longest i can buy.

As long as they are identical to the VEX standoffs, this would be legal.
