Answered: Material and Yield/UTS of parts

Hi there,

Where can I find a guide that has information on what all vex parts are made of (so I know what material to choose in solidworks) and also what the Yield/UTS of the material is? The vex wiki pages seem to be lacking in that respect.

For example I need to do a calculation to see how much torque the driveshafts can take, but I have no idea what material type to use or anything.

Any help is appreciated.

We have much of the material information on the individual product pages. Some of the details you’re requesting are not published by VEX Robotics.
