Hello, i was wondering if we could use this to power our robot during competition its a lot cheaper than the vex counterpart and had identical stats so it would be ruled as identical except color right?
No, that battery would not be legal. Although the listed specifications of 7.2V and 3000 mAh are the same as a VEX battery, not all batteries with the same specifications are created equal. There’s no way of knowing the details of the battery chemistry. All teams are limited in the amount of power they can use on a VEX robot, thus to ensure fairness we need to ensure that all the power sources are the same.
