I am curious about placement of the rings on the post for the field reset. The field reset diagram shows the rings pushed in towards the field. Is this exactly how the rings should be set? Many teams wanted to push them to the outside before the match.
As you mentioned, the Game Manual and Field Appendix depict the Rings on the Starting Peg to be pushed towards the inside of the field. This is the intended starting position. Teams should not adjust the position of Rings themselves prior to the match; any concerns should be raised with the head referee or Event Partner.
