Answered: Platform Bonus 5 points

Hi,

I was wondering which team would get the bonus five points, from being on top of the center platform at the end of the elevation game, if both teams (red and blue) were on top of the platform at the end of the game.

Also, does a team (red or blue) gain ten bonus points if both robots in the alliance are on top of the center platform at the end of the game.

Per the “Scoring” section of the Elevation Game Rules:**

A robot that is parked at the end of the match is worth (5) points for the corresponding alliance.

Per the definition of the word “Parked” in the definitions section of the Elevation Game Rules:

Parked - A robot is considered to be parked when it is in contact with the platform, and no part of the robot is in contact with the foam playing surface.

Based on these two sections of the manual, it is clear that each robot that is “up on the platform” and fulfills the definition of being “Parked” is worth (5) points. If both robots from one alliance are on top they would each receive a (5) point bonus for (10) total points. If all 4 robots are on top, both alliances would receive (10) points.

5 points per robot, regardless of what other robots are up there.
