Answered: Polycarbonate for safety

Hey Karthik, thanks for all the answers in the last few days,
If we use a piece of polycarbonate for an aplication which is ONLY for the sake of safety, does it count toward our limit? We have a gearbox which could do some damage to your finger if you got it caught, and we want to cover it with polycarb, but we would be over our limit.

If we do absolutely NOTHING else with the polycarb than cover the gearbox, would it be legal to be over the limit?

Thanks for your time

No, you may not go over the 12"x24" limit of polycarbonate for safety purposes.

Ok, thank you. We will come up with another solution to cover this problem spot.

You’re welcome.
