According to <G12> “Robots must be designed to permit easy removal of tubes from any grasping mechanism without requiring that the robot have power after the match.” Yet there is not a similar rule for removal of robots from the ladder. How will this be handled?
Teams are expected to remove their robots from the field, promptly after each match. The expectation still holds if a team is attached to the latter. Thus, teams should design the robots such that they can easily be removed from the ladder in a prompt manner. Teams may power up to remove their robot from the ladder, but this action must be completed quickly. If the head referee feels the team is causing unnecessary delays, they may be asked to alter their mechanism.
