Is turning off the remote during the autonomous period allowed? Some teams are doing this with the intent that it desyncs their robot and stops its movement.
If not allowed, how should this be monitored by the referees? What would be the implications if a team was caught doing this?
Teams are not permitted to touch any of the buttons, including the on/off switch, on their VEXnet Joystick during the Autonomous Period. Referees should ask Drivers to hold their Joysticks with the buttons facing outwards during the Autonomous Period, that way it is clear that they’re not controlling the Robot in any way. Teams should be warned for minor offenses, or disqualified for egregious (match affecting) offenses.
