I have not noticed any rules regarding removing game objects and the removed objects.
I assume that corresponding rules will be added later but just to be on the safe side, I would like some clarification (or additional rules) on the following:
Will game objects be put back into the field if they fall out?
If yes, where/when will they be placed?
Is intentionally removing game objects from the field legal?
If no, what is the definition of intentionally or under what circumstances would removing game objects be legal?
What will happen when legally removed game objects disturb the operation of the robot by the driver(s)?
What will happen when flying game objects affect the operation of a robot unintentionally?
Is intentionally affecting the operation of robots with flying game objects legal?
If no, what is the definition of intentionally in the scenario of the above question?
We ask you to please thoroughly read the VEX Toss Up Game Manual and to please review the Q&A Usage Guidelines before posting in this forum. Specifically, please quote the rule or definition that your question is referring to.
Let’s take a look at the definition of Preload from the VEX Toss Up Game Manual. I’ve bolded some text for emphasis:
There is actually a specific rule in the manual that answers all four of these questions! I’ve bolded some text for emphasis.
Drivers and Coaches should be prepared for Scoring Objects to be exiting the playing field in their vicinity.
Teams should design their robots to handle the effects of flying Scoring Objects.
There are no specific rules preventing this, however teams should always be mindful of <G11>, the first sentence of which is quoted below.
