Hi,

This is my first time on VEX Forums and I am the coach of a brand new team, I was wondering if 8-32 Robertson screws are legal for competition use?

As a new user of VEX Forums and the Q&A, we ask you to please thoroughly read the VEX Skyrise Game Manual and to please review the Q&A Usage Guidelines before posting. There’s actually a specific rule that answers your exact question. I’ve quoted the rule, <R7c>, below.

<R7> Robots are allowed the following additional “non-VEX” components:
c. Any commercially available #4, #6, #8, M2, M2.5, M3 or M4 screw up to 2" long, and any commercially available nut to fit these screws.

Thus, any #8 screw, including #8-32 Robertsons are legal for competition use.
