Answered: Robot Skills Points

I have a question regarding the robot skills challenge, as well as other members of the forum. At some tournaments, in the robot skills challenge, teams are allowed to score both blue an red cubes, and at some, only cubes of the same color (not that you can’t do it but since you are competing to win, wouldn’t be smart to score the wrong colored cube). Since the rules of this challenge don’t specify this, I am very CONFUSED because I have been practicing scoring both blue and red cubes and then just flipping the bonus cube in any colored side. Is scoring blue and red cubes in goals counted as points for the teams? Thanks.

At the Dallas World Championship all Robot Skills Challenge matches will be scored just like normal Elevation matches. The team will receive the “winning” (higher) score as their RSC match score.

It may be beneficial for teams to primarily score for one color and maximize their RSC score.
