Update 042611: <SG1> At the beginning of each Match, each Robot must be placed such that it is
(a) touching one of their colored Alliance Starting Tiles
(b) and not touching any Scoring Object
(c) or Goal other than those permitted by <SG2>.

The following questions assume that Preloads are not near the touching/overhanging parts of the robot.

May Robot Starting Position touch any goal (regardless of <SG2> permissions)?

May Robot Starting Postion overhang the Field Perimeter or a Gate?

May Robot Starting Position touch the Field Perimeter or a Gate?

May Robot Starting Position overhang a Low Goal?

May Robot Starting Position overhang a Circular Goal?

Must Robot Starting Position always fit inside 18" cube, including game piece grippers that may have to be extended to hold a Preload?

No.
