Answered: Scoring a hanging robot.

At the end of the first paragraph of the Toss Up Game Manual - Section 2 - Game Description, the wording states that scoring is accomplished by “…by Hanging or Hanging With A Ball, at various heights, off your colored Bar at the end of the match.”

The question is, that if a robot is high hanging during the final seconds of the match, but when the match ends and control is removed, the robot returns to the floor (either slowly or quickly). How is it scored? Does the state that it was in at the end of the match count, or does it have to stay there until removed by officials?

We ask you to please thoroughly read the VEX Toss Up Game Manual and to please review the Q&A Usage Guidelines before posting in this forum. Specifically, please quote the rule or definition that your question is referring to. In this case, <G9>, which is quoted below.

So to throw myself completely under the bus, but I need the clarification. Are the officials to wait for the robot (object) to return to the floor before scoring it? So even if it was high hanging with a ball at the actual end of the match, it would be scored as nothing?
