I was wondering if screwing a screw into the shaft hole in the center of a potentiometer is legal. From previous posts and <R15> I have concluded that it is probably not legal because the threads on the screw would slightly modify the hole for the shaft. I just wanted to make sure.
If this can be done without modifying the sensor at all, it would be legal. However if the threads do slightly modify the hole like you mention, it would be illegal.
