<SG4> states that “During the Driver Controlled Period, Student Drive Team Members may handle their own Robot as long as the robot has never left the Alliance Starting Tile.”
What is the definition of left in this rule? Would a robot that partially left the starting tile but never fully lost contact be able to be fixed in the ways listed in SG9?
Additionally, it states that the intent is to allow a team to fix a robot that couldn’t move at the beginning of the match. If the robot is technically able to move but is crippled (A Power Expander was unplugged and two of six drivetrain motors are working, meaning it will move about a foot and then burn out) and has never left the tile, can the team plug their power expander in?
