Is it legal to use Heat Shrink tubing to keep our nylon rope ends from fraying?

Heat Shrink tubing is not a part of the VEX Robotics Design System, nor is there a special allowance for it for the purposes of protecting nylon rope, thus it is illegal in VEX Skyrise for the purposes you’ve described.
