Our team is having problems with our robot with the 7.2V battery. Would it be legal to have our robot to use the 9.6V battery on our robot. The reason why we are asking is because with the 7.2V battery our robot will not move in a match for competition, but with the 9.6V it will.

My guess is the answer will be no. If your motors work at 9.6 V and not at 7.2 v, then the motor has been damaged or the load on the motor is too high. Try removing the load from the motor and try different motors. If loading is your problem, try different gearing to reduce the load on the motor.**
