Hi - the title should be “Clarification on additional sensors and motors”, sorry for any confusion.
VEX U robot rule 7 states:
Part d states that no additional motors are allowed, however some sensors have motors inside them to make the sensor function as desired. Would it be legal in VEX U to implement a sensor which has a motor inside it, which only controls parts of the sensor and in no way interacts with the rest of the robot, game pieces, or game elements?
An example would be a beacon navigation sensor, where the internals of the sensor must continuously spin to give any result.
