Is it legal to plug the vex net key into a micro-controller then the micro-controller into the cortex’s USB port to emulate an autonomous driver?
To Further explain during the autonomous mode the controller will tell the micro controller that it is either disabled, enabled , autonomous, or in telop. The micro-controller will always be driving via virtual controllers but will allow/disallow human driving via autonomous mode.
We this this would act exactly the same (conceptually) as a VEX Net Key plugged directly into the cortex, but provides special advantages to our software team such as, less bandwidth needed and a better bandwidth connection than Uart port.
This is not legal. Your VEXnet USB Adapter must be plugged directly into the Cortex Microcontroller, or into a USB extension cable plugged directly into the Cortex Microcontroller.
