Our school is hosting one of the Hawaii Regionals and has a school wide WiFi network. Do we need to shut down the network? Or are there other, less drastic, measures we can take. (We don’t want to inconvenience teachers who may be working) I’m not really sure what needs to be done (or even if the regional is using VEXNet).
Thanks.
No need to shutdown existing 802.11 WiFi networks.
- VEXnet will run alongside any network and does not compromise the network.
- VEXnet makes it’s own networks (one per robot) and does not need existing networks.
- Existing high traffic networks will not compromise VEXnet robot events.
- Overall, VEXnet uses very little bandwidth.
