Would it be allowable to use a step up voltage regulator (like the one linked below) to power a strip of 12volt led lights? because the cortex only supplies 5volts to the sensor ports and I do not want to risk damaging the cortex by pulling too much power from one sensor port. This would only be plugged into the led lights to be able to use them as decoration on our robot.
