Answered: <VUR10> Clarification

Hi,

I had a quick question related to :

Given that teams are allowed to create their own means of identification, assuming the proper rules are followed, is their a specific method that teams are supposed to use for identifying alliance color?

This season we planned on identifying our alliance color without using the colored plates that came in the welcome kit as we are using a more custom means of identification. We also planned on using a custom means of identifying alliance color but I could not find any rules in the manual pertaining to this, assuming that negates <R19> and thus negates <R19c.>

Our custom means of alliance color identification should definitely be noticeable and convey rather clearly what alliance the robot belongs too.

I’m sorry if my question is vague and/or wordy as I like to leave surprises for things like reveals. If anything in the question is unclear or you need more information please do not hesitate to ask.

Many Thanks,
Blonde

Teams should be using their coloured VEX license plates during all matches (if they have them). However there’s nothing preventing you from also using your custom solution, as long as no other rules are violated in the process.

Okay,
Thank you for the quick reply.

You’re welcome!
