Q. What are the age and/or grade groupings for the Middle School Division?
A. Due to differences in educational systems around the world, it is hard define this based on grade level. The rule for World Championships is that the Middle School Division is for youth participants of age 14 and younger. No driver of a Middle School Division robot may be older than 14 years old, and we expect that the team will be made up primarily of students younger than 14. By registering for the Middle School Division, teams are certifying that they are following these instructions.
In the United States and Canada, this means US 8th grade or Canadian grade 8 and younger.
