Answered: What rules are in place to protect robots that are hanging?

My team is currently trying to figure out if hanging is worth it in this game. The biggest issue that discourages us is the rules that protect the robot when its trying to hang. Were worried that as were pulling our robot up, another robot might ram us from the side and bend parts of our robot or knock us off the ladder and we come crashing down. From reading the rules, I didn’t see anything that protects the robot. Did I miss a section or are there simply no rules that offer protection?

There are no specific rules protecting hanging robots. However, normal game rules do apply. Please see <G11> and <SG5> from the VEX Round Up Game Manual for more information.
