Hi i realise there are already 18 tooth gears available but sadly they only have diagonal teeth to work with the worm gears.
why are there no normal 18 tooth gears?
I would love to try a 1:1.5 gear ratio with a 18 driving a 12 tooth but i can’t.
Any plans on releasing a normal 18 tooth gear soon?

No, there are no plans on releasing this. An 18-tooth gear would be off-pitch.
18:12 = 0.75" between gear centers.
The VEX gears have all been chosen so their gear centers line up on VEX 1/2" pitch in all instances, to avoid the frustrations of other construction systems and promote the “VEX Just Works” versatility.
