After reading the rules for qualification, I was under the impression that those who have qualified for Worlds will receive an email about their qualification and have to reply within four weeks of winning to secure and hold their spot. However, the recent email blast from VEX made it seem like we just have to sign up for the tournament after we qualify (which set me off, not to mention my team can reply but will need plenty of time to raise money for parts, registration, etc. so I was hoping the 4 week deadline was just to say Yes/No and then register later). What is the real process after we qualify for us to get the proper information and reply back saying “Yes, we’re going?”
As of last week, our automated system began to send out invites to qualified teams. Once a team qualifies and the event results are added to RobotEvents.com, they will receive soon after receive an invitation . The deadline to respond is 4 weeks after the sending of invitation.
