Anti-Jam Mech

Hey everyone,
I have recently seen a lot of bots have a curvy piece of plastic at the top of the conveyor. After doing some research, I realized it’s called an Anti-Jam Mech.

1: What does it do?
2: Is it needed?
3: If did use one, how would I build it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

An Anti-Jam mech is the mechanism that V5RC teams have been using to push the 6th (and sometimes 5th) ring on their clamped mogo out. The idea behind this is that it allows for the hooks to be closer to the cap, but not get stuck on the rings. A lot of teams also added a anti-jam so their ladybrown can still function with six rings, as the intake doesn’t get caught, leaving loading functional.

Keep asking questions,

  1. It stops the hooks for hitting the 6th ring when you have a full mogo
  2. It is good if you want to do wallstakes while holding a full mogo
  3. Add a piece of curved poly so it pushes the rings on the mogo back so the rings cant catch

Thank you so much for all the help.
