The Mogo slips out because of momentum. I’ve seen antichamber’s vids but was wondering if anyone could point me to any other good ones? I’ve been trying rubber bands but don’t quite know where to put them either.
Rubber bands or a thin strip of anti slip mat on the bottom of the c-channel that holds the mogo
My mogo intake is a 4-bar which with the arch that it makes allows me to put standoffs in-front of it to help prevent it from sliding out.
Mat
@Vyx What type of mobile goal are we talking about here because different mogo actions can have different anti-slip options but besides that I say the best option that works for me is the anti-slip mat and just the right amount of zip-ties.
Zip-ties?
It’s mostly the mogo slipping forward after I stop due to momentum so forward back out the slit.
I feel like this is the best way. Also rubber bands frequently snap and anti slip mats are a little clunky.
@RoboTurtleLord Yes, I used the zip-ties to tie the mat to the robot as sort of a temporary fix at my last tournament because I had the same problem. It ultimately stopped the mobile goal from slipping out anytime I abruptly stopped the robot, the only problem being that I had to exert more force when I wanted to place the mogo in the zone. Unfortunately, that robot is dead and gone but I plan on using the same idea on my next model with hopefully the same results.
That makes sense, not at all what I thought you meant. Lol.
That is by far one of the most complicated ways to hold the Mogo that I have seen. Rubber bands or anti-slip mats put in the right place will work just as well.
I agree with RoboTurtleLord, anti-slip mat is an easy way to fix this issue.
