Any teams have the 2.75 old omnis they can sell?

Im looking to buy some 2.75" omni wheels. Not the ones vex sells as of right now the ones that are discontinued. If you have any you could sell hmu! 75

Hey! In almost all situations, the ones that vex currently sells are actually much better. They discontinued these because the rubber itself digs into the ground and prevents smooth sideways motion. If you are thinking of using these for tracking (or anything really) you’d be much better off using the ones they sell now.

There’s already a thread about me trying to buy these off someone. I’ve been trying for so long I’ve given up and am probs gonna use the current 2.75 inch wheels. The only difference is that the new ones are slightly thicker, but that’s the only design accommodation you’ll need to make. Oh yeah, and there also currently being sold by vex

But the other ones cant be fit into a 2 wide c-channel so it wouldnt work with my design unless i rebuild

Many teams use these wheels for tracking, and they should be fine. Many teams have tried to get the same thing purpose by cuttting Omni wheels in half.

If youre using them as drive wheels I would highly suggest you redesign… Like said above you can use the other 2.75’s and cut them in half if you really want to. If youre using them for encoder wheels, it’ll take quite a bit of tedious modifications to make them work.

Yep, you can cut an Omni wheel straight in half. I did this for my tip pegs. This should simulate what you are trying to achieve.
