Any tips on how to get the VCS Competition control to work?

I heard complaints from students this weekend that they couldn’t get their VCS Competition template to work when they tried to test their autonomous, etc. I don’t know any details yet but I thought I would ask ahead of time if there are any “gotchas” lurking around the Competition template/control. Is there anything I should be on the look-out for?

The natives are restless.

I believe that there may be some programming languages in VEX Coding Studio that doesn’t have support with the Competition Templates and/or won’t have a Competition Template until October 1st, but I may be wrong. I haven’t used VEX Coding Studio yet, but that’s what I have heard according to someone in the Unofficial VEX Discord Server.

Yes, I think I heard that about the ModKit stuff but I hadn’t heard anything about the other languages. I hate spending hours trying to debug something only to find out the original system isn’t capable of doing it yet.

Once you get some details let us know.

VCS has a competition template for VEX C++ and C++ Pro, VCS blocks does not support competition in the V1.0 release.

There are some known minor issues with vexos 1.0.0, but these should not have stopped the autonomous code from running.
