Anyone have luck connecting Modkit desktop app to Smart Radio and upload wirelessly?

Hello!

I was hoping to compare notes…

Has anyone had success connecting either the Windows or the MacOS versions of Modkit for VEX to the robot brain via a Smart Radio and have subsequently uploaded a program?

Quick check list:

  1. VexOS firmware is up to date on the brain, as verified through VexOSUtility
  2. Modkit Link program is running, as verified by it existing in MacOS taskbar
  3. The “Radio Data” setting is turned on via the robot brain, as verified by seeing the bluetooth connection icon on the brain itself
  4. Bluetooth for my macbook is turned on, but I do not see any robot-related devices broadcasting a signal to connect to

Uploading programs via the USB cable does work.

I’m running MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 and Modkit for VEX

I suspect the iPad application is the only supported way of uploading programs but cannot find a resource online to confirm or deny this suspicion. Therefore; has anyone successfully uploaded a program?

Pretty sure it’s iPad only for now.

Not possible.

but I do not see any robot-related devices broadcasting a signal to connect to

That’s the reason. The robot acts as the central, not a peripheral. The joystick is the one broadcasting and the brain can connect to it. iPad can act as a peripheral and that’s why iPad supports wireless programming. But desktops generally don’t, so far…
