I’m currently deciding on multiple ideas for my robot, and i was wondering if a claw is useless this season? seeing as the claw part cannot fit on the ladder, I’m also wondering if anyone came up with an alternative design for a claw? thanks

There are both no and yes. No, as in it is not the main scoring mechanism. There are faster and more efficient ways to score rings to the stakes, like a conveyor with a hood or hook intake style. And yes, as in scoring high stakes. Tbh youtube is your best friend is searching for ideas, because they have a lot of great ideas.

Yeah the claw part is pretty much useless this year, it doesn’t have the best geometry to grab the tower or rings on the ground but claws are still viable as a secondary scoring method (wall stakes)
