Applying sensors

Currently, I am coming up with concept mechanisms, such as a forklift that can flip caps on the spot, but I have ran into a problem, I have come up with a solution, but I need to verify with somebody who has already done this. So my problem is, the cap is flipped and I am raising my three joint forklift up, but how am I going to keep the part that keeps the cap stable? I’m thinking with a gyroscope.

Also, since we have not received out v5 kits yet, I am do not have motors and sensors, I am using my own arms to animate the contraption, and my body to animate the lift.
