Are you allowed to drive your robot in the low goal?
Yes, grant cox mentioned it yesterday. And you can de-score your opponents low goal.
Are we allowed to drive into the low goal to score points in the high goal?
By de-score, do you mean take discs out and place them in your own?
I believe so. Everything points toward the fact that you would be able to. As long as you aren’t breaking any other rules in the process. One of my sister teams might be doing a strategy where they shoot it almost directly up to where the position themselves under the low goal, so if they miss, they can scoop it back up and try again.
While you are allowed to drive into this zone, keep in mind than with you can’t expand vertically at all while in that zone. I don’t know if this is what you were asking but there is no way to score rings in a high goal without launching them in some way. Because the high goals are essentially Disc golf targets, it appears to me that shooting discs from directly below wouldn’t be very advantageous.
This is exactly the answer I was looking for. Thanks
Just taking it out counts as descoring.
