Are there Vex EDR Plastic Sheet

In this video we saw the robot had plastic sheets on the tray. We looked on the vex website and couldn’t find any plastic sheets. Does anyone know what part that is? Thank you!

As far as I know they don’t sell any plastic. However, you can use some with this rule.

A limited amount of custom plastic is allowed. Robots may use non-shattering plastic from the following list; polycarbonate (Lexan), acetel monopolymer (Delrin), acetal copolymer (Acetron GP), POM (acetal), ABS, PEEK, PET, HDPE, LDPE, Nylon (all grades), Polypropylene, FEP; as cut from a single 12” x 24” sheet up to 0.070” thick.
a. Shattering plastic, such as PMMA (also called Plexiglass, Acrylic, or Perspex), is prohibited. b. Plastic may be mechanically altered by cutting, drilling, bending etc. It cannot be chemically
treated, melted, or cast. Heating polycarbonate to aid in bending is acceptable.

VEXPro sells plastic of legal thickness, but it’s quite a bit more than you need for a VRC robot:

A better bet is to buy from robosource:

Another option I remembered was that you can use the flags from last year for your robots construction since they check all the boxes to be legal plastic.

This product is a pro part, but we are in EDR. Is it still legal?

Yes per this Q&A post
https://www.robotevents.com/VRC/2019-2020/QA/331

The gray polycarbonate you refer to would fall under , because even though it happened to be purchased from VEXpro, it is functionally similar to any other vendor’s legal polycarbonate, per . Therefore, it is legal (provided no other rules are violated, such as the 12” x24” restriction in ).

Sorry, this is sort of a tangent. What are the flags made of and are you sure they’re legal. This would make my life so much easier if that is true.

edit: I accidentally quoted the wrong person, my bad.

Per another Official Q&A post there also legal
https://www.robotevents.com/VRC/2019-2020/QA/360

The Turning Point Flags are made of polycarbonate, and have a thickness of 1.6mm (0.063"). Therefore, they meet the constraints listed in this rule, and would be legal.

It occurs here too

@DRow
I think we have someone abusing the ability to flag posts. @enothecool created a perfectly relevant and helpful post and it was still flagged. Could you look into this?
Thanks!
