my team wants to build a wall bot which drops a wall off with a rope of some sort connecting it. I am wondering if it would get us disqualified for trapping.
Might want to read the game manual.
ok thanks for the help
Sure… as long is at is under 36"…
Maybe you will want to add in the restriction posed by the starting size as well.
it will be an engineering wonder if anyone can start off at 18" height and expand vertically up to infinity
Impressive CAD btw.
Don’t laugh, sharpie-CAD is used all the time in industry!
fancy sketch
I suppose it is feasible but my initial concerns are that your robot cannot exceed 36 inches horizontally (Rule SG2) and you will want to refrain from hoarding goals in the corner (Rule SG7).
On the positive side a 35" robot could create a strong defensive position.
Although not documented, I would assume that a defensive robot should expect vigorous interactions from opponent Robots, Meaning if you put up a wall then your opponents may push that wall out of their way.
People will somehow find a way to go either over it, under it, around it, or, should it come to it, through it.
battering ram robot when
Im Not Sure But I would not worry too much
I have not seen many wall bots at competitions soo yeaa
If you’re not sure, then you need to be reading the game manual rather than posting a non-helpful comment on a thread!
For any question about the legality of something, we must turn to the game manual (or the Official Q&A). As you read the game manual (http://link.vex.com/docs/21-22/vrc/tipping-point/Game-Manual), keep in mind that the game manual tells you things that you MUST do, and things that you are PROHIBITED from doing. It can’t tell you everything you might do, so if the game manual does not prohibit an action, then it is legal.
OOPS I AM SORRY FOR THAT.
