Since the game manual doesn’t say you can’t, then it is perfectly legal. Furthermore, this is clarified by an official Q&A to double check that it is perfectly legal:

Yes, you can. This is just a part of the bot there is nothing wrong with that.

Whether or not the jig is a part of the robot, it is fully legal. Just make sure it isnt in the field when the match starts, and you will be fine.

yes we are. I don’t think the size of the jig matters as well.
